Jett is a Colorado-based product design company that creates technical apparel, protective gear and equipment for active lifestyle brands.
I worked with UK based growth consultancy, ZUP, to create a new website for Jett. While ZUP worked on the initial brief and the content-side of things, I worked on the design and web development aspects of the project.
Starting from my own comprehensive review of their existing website, I made recommendations about design, usability, functionality, and performance. I addressed these recommendations in my subsequent designs and the way I built the site in WordPress.
One of the most challenging aspects of this, was to allow a two-tiered system of case studies. This was split between partnerships and projects, with links embedded into client logos. This unusual structure, along with every other aspect of the site, also needed to be easily editable in WordPress.
The process that we adopted worked particularly well. Starting with content specification and copy, we then worked through distinct stages, from design, html prototype, photoshoot informed by the prototype, and finally the main web development in WordPress. All of us are very pleased with the end result, especially the way that the full bleed photography and bold type really shows off their products, and small interactive elements make the site a pleasure to browse.
