Crane is a new British design and manufacturing company, specialising in professional cookware and accessories. They employed London design agency, StudioSmall, to help with their branding, prior to the launch their premier range of high-end, cast iron cookware. With a limited Crowdfunded budget, StudioSmall put Crane in touch with me to create an online shop, which was to be my first Shopify website.

StudioSmall provided the homepage design. From this, I created designs for the other pages of the site and built a custom Shopify theme using the templating language, Liquid. I then worked directly with the client to produce all other aspects of the website. One of the biggest challenges of this project was getting the site to work with the company’s fulfilment company, adding apps to improve integration with their warehousing system.

While Crane maintain the blog themselves, I regularly update the site with new stockists and press cuttings and it is expected that the site will soon be expanded to include other products.

The brand has gone from strength to strength. They now have stockists all over the world, and they have appeared in many prestigious publications, including Elle Decoration, Wallpaper and The Guardian.
