New website for soul and funk band The Haggis Horns.

The Haggis Horns are a seven-piece funk band based in Leeds. While the band were already very active digitally in terms of social media (over 5000 followers on Facebook), they felt it was time to have their own website.

The key objectives of the site were to introduce the band, showcase their music, publicise their gigs, sell T-shirts, collect email addresses for the mailing list, and to interact with their fans via a blog. This involved integration with Soundcloud, Flickr, YouTube and Bandcamp.

I worked with guitarist, Ben Barker, to pinpoint the site’s requirements and it took about a month from our original meeting to complete the project. I designed the site in Photoshop, then built it WordPress so that Ben could manage the site himself. This was also my first fully responsive, mobile-first website, using Bootstrap.
